Todd is a Brooklyn Based photographer. This series of abstract landscapes, originally entitled Unnatural Light, was inspired by the formal beauty of plants from the desert. This first series were all shot at night (or dusk) with only an ambient (or man-made) light source. Most of the plants Todd photographed belong to the family of plants named monocots or more formally, Monocotyledons. Quite simply, this name refers to the fact that members of the group have one embryonic leaf in their seeds. Todd has also worked on a a series of east coast monocots - all shot in daylight entitled Natural Light.
